The Team

Justine Thelwell

Registered Home Manager

Justine was appointed General Manager of Lincombe Manor Care Centre in March 2019. She qualified as a Registered General Nurse in January 1992 after completing her training in Clatterbridge and Arrowe Park Hospitals on the Wirral. She spent ten years at King Edward VII Hospital for Officers, Sister Agnes in Marylebone where she started as a junior staff nurse and ended her time there as Ward Manager. During her time at King Edwards Justine was privileged to nurse members of the British Royal family. She nursed the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret and is proud to have been of service to them. Justine has also nursed past and present Prime Ministers, foreign dignitaries and VIP’s and too many amazing film stars to mention. She takes great pride in nursing members of the armed forces and feels honoured to have nursed them back to health. Justine feels this part of her career shaped her for the future and made her the manager she is today.

Recruiting and retaining team members who are committed and passionate about the delivery of person-centred care is pivotal to her. She is proud to develop and nurture a team to a level where they are self-sufficient, productive, loyal and most importantly happy. Happy teams make happy residents which makes a happy home.

Away from work Justine lives in Torquay with her husband of five years John, her daughter Jess now a young woman currently forging her own career in the care sector and her ageing, much loved Jack Russell Trio who is never far from her side. Together they enjoy family time at home, exploring the world and meeting different cultures with a passion for interior design and cooking.

Justine and her team will be on hand to welcome you for a visit to Lincombe Manor Care Centre to view the magnificent facilities and discuss the services they offer in more detail with you over a delicious coffee and a stunning 180-degree view of Torbay on our top terrace
