Felted Soap Production

This week, residents at Lincombe have done a fantastic job creating felted soap!

Felted soap is a bar of soap wrapped in a layer of wool that is felted around it, creating a natural exfoliant and a soap-saver. The wool shrinks along with the soap as it’s used, helping the bar last longer by preventing it from becoming too wet or slippery.

Once the soap has been fully used, you’re left with a small, biodegradable wool pad that can be reused as a washcloth, for cleaning, or even as a little trinket holder.

It’s been a wonderful craft enjoyed by all, and it was especially exciting to see the unique designs, no two bars will ever be the same!

These beautiful creations will now be available for guests to purchase from our reception, alongside our fast-selling and very popular handmade jewellery. We have ben amazed at how popular our designs are and every penny goes straight back into buying more supplies so we can continue our inhouse enterprise and create even more unique items.
