Welcome to Lincombe Manor
Welcome to Lincombe Manor, our beautiful care home in the heart of Torquay.
Set within landscaped gardens and overlooking the sparkling sea, our home offers a unique blend of 24-hour personalised residential and nursing care with the warmth, comfort, and freedom of coastal living.
Residents enjoy a relaxed pace of life, exceptional care from our expert team, and the simple pleasures that make each day meaningful, from a gentle stroll through the gardens to lunch with friends and watching the sun dip over the bay.
Whether you’re joining us for a short stay, long-term residential care, nursing support, or compassionate end-of-life care, you’ll find a place where dignity, independence and joy are at the centre of everything we do.
The Heart of the English Riviera
Lincombe Manor is just one mile from Torquay town centre, offering the best of both worlds. Positioned in the much sought-after Lincombes area, with easy access to local shops, cafés and attractions. Torquay’s waterfront regeneration has brought fresh life to the seaside town. Crisp white buildings crown green hilltops, gardens frame the seafront, and Victorian charm meets contemporary living.
Part of the stunning English Riviera, it’s a truly idyllic location that has something for everyone.
A Little About Our Home
Lincombe Manor offers exceptional comfort and wellbeing. Housed in a beautifully restored Grade II listed Victorian building, our home has been thoughtfully modernised into a luxurious care centre that offers contemporary living tailored to meet the needs of our residents.
Inside, you’ll find 48 beautifully appointed ensuite bedrooms, each designed to feel calm, private, and light-filled. Many rooms offer stunning views of the sea or garden, creating the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
Each room includes:
- A private wet room
- Smart TV with Netflix and Wi-Fi
- Comfortable furnishings you can personalise
Beyond your room, residents enjoy spacious lounges with panoramic views, a sunny lounge and terrace area, quiet reading nooks, and inviting, restaurant-style dining rooms. Outside, our manicured lawns and flowerbeds are perfect for afternoon tea, peaceful walks, or spending time with friends or family.
Our Vision & Values

Our Care and Services
We believe that great care starts with truly knowing our residents, their stories, their routines, even their favourite cup of tea.
We see Lincombe Manor Care Centre as your home, and we would like you to treat it exactly like home. You decide how you spend your days, and we are the guests within them.
All care is completely tailored to each individual resident. We take time to understand your health needs, preferences, and personality so that every care plan reflects who you are, not just what you require.
Our full range of care services includes:
- Residential care: 24-hour support in a sociable, homely environment.
- Nursing care: round-the-clock clinical expertise and skilled medical care from registered nurses.
- Respite and short-stay care: perfect for those recovering after a hospital stay, looking for a short break, or for families needing temporary support.
- Palliative and end-of-life care: delivered with dignity, compassion and expertise.
Every resident has an individualised care plan, regularly reviewed with family input to ensure your needs are always met and preferences are respected.
We are proud to be rated “Good” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC, March 2021), a reflection of our commitment to safety, quality and genuine person-centred care.
Our nurses and carers receive continuous training in medication management, nutrition, falls prevention and communication, so you can feel confident that you or your loved ones are in expert hands.

Fresh, Seasonal & Delicious Dining
Food is one of life’s greatest joys, and at Lincombe Manor every meal is prepared to be savoured. Our talented chefs create seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, balancing comfort, flavour and nutrition in every dish.
Residents can enjoy restaurant-style dining with friends or choose a quieter, private meal in their own room. From comforting classics and traditional Sunday roasts to light salads, indulgent puddings, and Devon’s famous cream teas. Every plate is prepared with care and served with genuine warmth.
Our menus change regularly to keep things fresh and interesting, and we take time to understand each resident’s individual tastes and dietary needs — whether that means vegetarian choices, soft diets, or bespoke medical meal plans. We also encourage our residents to try new flavours and dishes they may not have experienced before.
Families and friends are always welcome to join for meals, celebrations, or simply a relaxed chat over a pot of tea. Our chefs love receiving feedback and often visit residents to share ideas and discuss what’s next on the menu – good food is best when enjoyed together!

Health & Wellness Programme
Every day is shaped by our residents’ interests, energy, and laughter.
We all know that keeping active is important – mental and physical stimulation is widely recognised as a way of improving general wellbeing.
Our active Health & Wellness Programme offers something for everyone: from gentle yoga and chair exercises to painting, gardening, musical sessions, and reading clubs. Residents can even learn new skills, revisit old hobbies, or simply enjoy shared moments.
Visiting entertainers, themed afternoons, and local outings to the seafront or gardens add colour and variety to each week. Every resident can take part at their own pace, always by choice, never by schedule.
