Sarah has been appointed at St Cross from January 2025. She has had and extensive career in healthcare, originally in critical care settings and then private hospitals. She moved to social care in 2011, and over the years has worked with high end providers. Her experience has been in care home management including new home commissioning and regional director positions. She has now taken the decision to utilise all her experience in a home setting and is very enthusiastic about the role.

With over 30 years of experience in various aspects of care, I have had the privilege of dedicating 23 of those years to serving the residents of St Cross Grange. I’m an experienced Chef Manager with over 15 years in the catering industry, and I’m delighted to be part of the team at St Cross Grange.

I worked my way up from Catering Assistant and trained at college, achieving my NVQ in Catering and building a strong foundation in food preparation, kitchen management, and team leadership.

After 13 years in my previous role, I made the decision to step away from my career for a while to care for my father. That experience gave me a new perspective and motivated me to seek a fresh challenge, bringing my skills, dedication, and passion for food into the next stage of my career.

I’m passionate about offering a wide variety of fresh, tasty, home-cooked meals and sweet treats, using seasonal produce wherever possible. Whether it’s hearty comfort food, delicious homemade bakes, or healthy fruit platters, I’m keen to make sure my food — and my team’s food — is enjoyed by everyone.

I’m also really keen to gather feedback and suggestions, so I can tailor our menus around the meals our residents would most like to see and enjoy.

My name is Jatinder, and I am a carer at St Cross Grange Care Home. I have dedicated over 12 years to working in the care sector, with 6 and a half of those years spent here at St Cross Grange.

I have had an extensive career in maintenance and compliance within schools in West and East London. I live locally and am now utilising my practical skills at St Cross Grange.

Hello, my name is Dani, and I’m proud to head up the Housekeeping team here at St Cross Grange.

I’ve worked at St Cross for many years, and one of the most rewarding parts of my role is the time I spend with our residents while I’m dusting or making up their rooms.

Every member of our team takes great pride in keeping the home comfortable and welcoming. It makes a real difference to how people feel, and it’s lovely to be part of creating that sense of warmth and care every day.

What makes St Cross Grange so special is the people. There’s a sense of community here, and it’s a joy to come to work each day knowing that, in our own small way, we help make St Cross feel like home.

Kim works as part of our wonderful Wellness Team, who are on hand every day to support our residents with a varied programme of events, social activities, and one-to-one sessions.

Kim has a wealth of experience in the care sector and has worked at St Cross Grange for many years, first in housekeeping and as a carer before taking on her current role within the Wellness Team.

When asked what she loves most about her role, she said it’s the fact that no two days are ever the same. “There are plans, of course,” she said, “but often you just don’t know where the day is going to take you!”
