General Manager
I was born in Derbyshire and commenced my nursing career
at 17 years old. Having obtained both RNMH and RGN qualifications I spent my early
career running units for people with learning disabilities and challenging
behaviours. I moved south from Derbyshire over 25 years ago and commenced by career managing care homes. During this time I worked in London for almost 11 years as the Home Manager at a home for ex service
personnel. I now live in Hampshire with two of my four children and their dog.
I am passionate about putting residents as the first priority and also using my teaching
degree to help staff with training and development.
Two of my sons work within the caring sector and my daughter is studying to
be a youth worker.
Home Administrator
My name is Dawn and I deal with all aspects of administration within the home, including being in regular contact with residents and their families, which is part of the role I really enjoy. In my spare time, I am a keen gardener. I have landscaped my back garden to encompass a range of different plants to ensure a vibrant colour-scape throughout the year. I also enjoy cooking for my family, embroidery and I read a wide range of fiction.
Receptionist
My name is Hannah, I am a receptionist at Oak Hall Care home. Before I started here I worked in the hospitality industry for 9 years, so I have a lot of experience dealing with the public. I have created some strong relationships with the residents and colleagues. We are like one big family and I really enjoy working here.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and often go on country dog walks with my dad and step-mum.
Chef
I studied at The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts in London and have previously worked in some top-end London restaurants & hotels. I joined the team in June 2020 and have enjoyed working in the kitchen to provide traditional restaurant-style food that is beautifully presented. I enjoy my role at Oak Hall and know how important the standard of food is to our residents. I particularly enjoy creating special menus for residents’ birthdays, and for the various events we hold at Oak Hall Care Home.
Care Assistant
My name is Katie, I am a Care Assistant at Oak Hall Care Home. I started in April 2019, and since then I have developed strong & meaningful relationships with the residents here. It is a wonderful place to work and I enjoy it every day.
