Keeping you safe from Covid-19

Our homes are open to new admissions. Whether you need long term care or a respite stay, we are operating a COVID-safe environment. If you would like more information on how you can book to speak with the General Manager and have an inside tour of the home, please click here.

Visiting a Manor Life Care Home

The safety and wellbeing of the residents is our number one priority. We will endeavour to keep everybody safe who lives, works or visits the home. We will continue to follow all Government and Public Health England guidelines as they continue to evolve over the coming weeks and months.

We will continue to communicate on a regular basis. We shall be reviewing these stages frequently so that we return to normal as soon as it is safe to do so.

If you do have any questions regarding the visitor policy, please contact the General Manager where your loved one or friend is residing.

If you are interested in moving into one of our homes and would like to speak with the manager, we are able to offer an inside tour of the home maintaining social distancing guidelines and wearing the appropriate PPE. Our managers are also available to speak to you face-to-face via WhatsApp or Facetime if you prefer. If you would like to book an appointment please contact the home found on the locations page of the website or click here.

We also have some beautiful pictures of the homes on our website that show you the quality of our interiors, communal areas and outside space.

Keeping residents and families connected

We are doing everything we can to ensure the residents stay connected to their friends and family. We have dedicated visiting rooms which provide a COVID safe visiting space providing safe indoor visiting for up to 5 nominated persons per resident.

We also encourage people to make use of our tablets and wi-fi to hold regular video calls across Skype and FaceTime. For residents who are not familiar with this technology our carers and well-being team are on hand to help facilitate these calls.

Training and information in homes

Information notices are on display in all our homes which outline the risks around the spread of COVID-19 and the steps we can all take to minimise this.

As part of our ongoing infection control measures we routinely conduct infection control training sessions with all care staff to ensure we are doing everything we can to minimise the risk of virus transfer in the home.

For the latest information on COVID-19 and how to minimise your risk of infection please go to the NHS website.

Our care teams have been doing all they can to maximise infection control measures within the homes and are being monitored themselves before they enter the building. Any staff member who is experiencing symptoms – or has been in contact with a positive case – will be asked to stay at home and self-isolate for 10 days or longer if they become symptomatic during that period.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

We maintain high stock levels supply of appropriate PPE within our homes and we are constantly reviewing and replenishing our stock levels. We have a dedicated procurement line with loyal and trusted suppliers in order to achieve this.
